We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time without notice.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 For Pet Owners

When using our directory, you agree to:

  • Conduct your own due diligence before engaging any professional
  • Verify credentials and insurance coverage directly with the professional

  • Use the information provided responsibly

3.2 For Professionals

Listed professionals agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Maintain valid insurance and required certifications
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Notify us immediately of any changes to their credentials or services
  • Provide professional services in accordance with industry standards

4. Verification Process

Pawthority features two types of listings:

  • Basic Listings: All providers are established businesses with Google reviews and ratings. Basic information is curated by our team.
  • Premium Verified Listings: Premium members undergo additional verification including insurance confirmation, DBS/background checks, and professional qualification review.

Users should conduct their own due diligence before engaging any service provider.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information provided
  • The quality of services provided by listed professionals
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of our website
  • The security of data transmitted through our Services

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pawthority shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Personal injury or property damage arising from your use of our Services
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on our Services
  • Any disputes between users and listed professionals

Pawthority acts solely as a directory service and is not responsible for the actions, services, or conduct of any listed professional.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pawthority and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of our Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Any disputes with listed professionals

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Pawthority website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Pawthority or its content suppliers and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.

9. Professional Listings

9.1 Listing Tiers

We offer listing options for established pet care businesses:

  • Basic Listing: Free for all established pet care businesses with Google reviews and presence
  • Premium Verified Listing: Enhanced visibility, verification badge, and additional features. Premium listings are currently in development. Contact us for details.

9.2 Removal of Listings

We reserve the right to remove any listing at any time if:

  • The professional no longer meets our verification standards
  • We receive valid complaints about the professional
  • The professional violates these Terms
  • The professional's credentials or insurance expire

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use our Services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt our Services
  • Scrape or harvest data from our website
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Use our Services to spam or harass others

11. Links to Third-Party Websites

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Pawthority. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
