West End Tails Dog Day Care in Camden

West End Tails is the work of Jack and Susan, who met in London after a decade apiece in theatre and in retail tech, and who could not find dog care that fitted a working day. The idea arrived during a muddy 15k run. The result is a converted former gym on Chancery Lane, between the West End and the City, with evening hours for owners whose day does not finish at five.

The space has multiple play areas, an indoor dog park for the zoomies, and a library-style room full of sofas and soft lighting for dogs who need quiet. They run a 1:8 staff-to-dog ratio and take small and medium dogs up to 30kg. Every dog comes in for a meet and greet first, a tour with the owner followed by a 60 to 90 minute stay, so nobody arrives on day one without knowing the place.

Grooming happens on site through Tails Salon, either during a day care day or as a standalone appointment, and Tails Boutique stocks treats, toys and enrichment products with local delivery. Chancery Lane, Holborn and Temple stations are all a short walk away, which makes it straightforward for owners working in the legal district.
