About Fernlea Cattery
Fernlea Cattery is run by Simon and Theresa Browne in two acres of garden at their home in Kenley, in the green belt. It has been open since 2005 and is licensed by Croydon Council.
The detached pens were built by a specialist firm to Feline Advisory Bureau (now International Cat Care) guidelines. They are heated and thermostatically controlled, with a safety corridor, and come in single, double and supersize. There is also an isolation unit.
Each cat gets attention suited to its temperament, and timid cats are left in peace. Elderly and diabetic cats are accepted, special diets and medication can be managed, and delivery and collection is sometimes available. The cattery also boards RSPCA rescue cats until they are rehomed.
