About Nova Dog Training
Nova Dog Training is run by Rachel Acton, an IMDT-certified dog trainer based in Petts Wood. She works with families across Orpington, Bromley, Chislehurst, Locksbottom and Beckenham, and builds her training around busy households with work and young children.
All training is one-to-one. After a free initial chat, Rachel puts together a package, usually of three to six sessions, with WhatsApp support in between. The first session is normally at home, and later sessions move to local parks and streets. Common issues include jumping up, barking, settling at home, living with children, reactivity, lead pulling and recall.
Puppy support ranges from a three-session foundations package to longer bespoke packages that can start before the puppy arrives. Rachel uses force-free, science-based methods and positive reinforcement. She passed her IMDT qualification with Distinction, holds an OCN Level 3 certificate in the Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour, and is a certified dog first aider.
