The Mayhew Vet Clinic

The Mayhew is London's historic animal welfare charity, established in 1886, dedicated to improving lives for dogs, cats, and their communities through rescue, rehoming, and veterinary care. Based in Kensal Green, the organisation delivers community-based services including low-cost clinics for neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and behavioural advice, alongside international welfare projects.

Their mission promotes animal welfare via preventative veterinary care, education, and outreach that supports vulnerable pet owners facing crises like homelessness or financial hardship. Additional programmes include Pet Refuge for temporary pet sheltering, TheraPaws therapy dog visits to hospitals and care homes, and capacity-building training for vets worldwide.

Communities value The Mayhew's non-judgemental approach, realistic solutions, and commitment to keeping people and pets together. As a forward-thinking charity with no government funding, The Mayhew continues transforming animal welfare through proactive, compassionate initiatives locally and globally.
